Do You Need a Mentor?

For me the answer is Yes! This has been the best method I have found to improve my blogging.

What is Blog Mastermind?

If you have downloaded the Blog Profits Blueprint or read this article, then you may have noticed that Yaro Starak has set up a blog mentoring program called Blog Mastermind. For new, beginner or intermediate bloggers that want support and help to grow their blog and earn a full time income from it, by working part time.

I first heard about Blog Mastermind way back when Yaro was asking his newsletter if anyone would like to have a blog mentoring program. Now I had started from scratch with blogs and had learned everything I knew from trawling blogs and websites, trying to find information on how to build a blog and do it right. It was very tedious and difficult doing it all by myself, (this seems true for most ventures on the internet) it took a lot of time and my confidence was lacking because different people had different opinions.

Until I heard what Yaro was thinking of doing, I had not heard of anybody else offering a mentoring program specifically for bloggers, so he had my attention. He also had my attention due to the fact that I had been a subscriber to his Blog Traffic Tips newsletter, and followed his blog for a couple of months, and I new his advice was good and that he knew what he was talking about. So when he released Blog Mastermind in June 2007 I did jump at it, and signed up.

So What is it Like?

The Blog Profits Blueprint had got me excited and raring to go with blogs. But I knew I needed extra help, like someone who could show me exactly what I needed to do to make a success out of blogs, like a mentor! So I had to give Blog Mastermind a go. I have been a member of Blog Mastermind since June 2007 and I really have found it to be brilliant and well worth the money, so much so I will remain a member for at least a year. I found I was looking for 3 things when I found Blog Mastermind:

1. How do I make money with blogs.
2. How do I drive traffic to my blog.
3. And can someone show me how to do it.

And that is what I have found in Blog Mastermind. As you saw from what this blog used to look like it has been a real transformation for the blog and me. Although it is hard work, you still have to put the effort in and follow his advice to get the most benefit out of the program. It is also very challenging and you are given tasks that will take you outside your comfort zone and make you try something new, but that’s what you are paying for.

Also I have found the community of Blog Mastermind members invaluable, they are great and we all help each other as much as we can, there is such a wide range of people from all over the world and every type of blog you can think of, but we all have one thing in common and that’s growing our blogs.

So what’s the bottom line?

The bottom line is I am paying a monthly subscription to be a member of Blog Mastermind, so that keeps me in line and working hard. But that is what works for me and I knew it before I started. If money was going out each month then I would make sure I used the program to the full to get my money’s worth, and move me forward in the quickest way possible. I knew I needed to do that to get my behind into gear.

Saying that it’s not for everyone. As you can see the mentoring style works for me and it’s how I work best, but obviously not every one works like that, and consider that before you join. I haven’t given an in-depth review on what you can receive from Blog Mastermind because the sales page does that, I wanted to write the review from the view of a member and what it has done for me, I felt that would be more helpful. At this point I am learning new things each week, and have a wealth of knowledge and experience from the mentoring team to pull on if I need it.
